This policy explains what data the game "Shelter" (published in Russian as "Bunker") for iOS and Android and its web version at shelter.sh process, why, and what choices you have. The game is published by Aboba games company ("we"). Questions and requests: shelterthegame@gmail.com.
To understand how the game is played and to improve it, the app sends usage data to our own server and to Google Analytics for Firebase.
What is collected:
The content of your games (cards and characteristics of players) is not collected.
Usage events, the app language and version and the group number go both to our server and to Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC), which processes data on our behalf. The installation identifier, the country from device settings, the game code fingerprint and the network hash go only to our server. The rest of the list goes only to Google Analytics.
We do not link this data to your identity, do not combine it with data from other apps and websites, do not pass it to advertising networks and do not use it to track you across apps.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases of card sets are sold and charged by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your name, payment card or billing address. To confirm that a purchase is valid, the app sends our server the purchase identifier issued by the store (a transaction identifier or a purchase token), and our server checks it with the store. Our server does not keep a record of your purchases.
If you enter a gift code, the app creates a separate random identifier and keeps it in the protected storage of your device. Our server stores this identifier together with the code you entered and the date until which the gift is valid, so that the gift can be confirmed and a code cannot be used more times than intended. The identifier is not linked to your name, to the installation identifier or to the advertising identifier. It is created only for players who enter a code.
When the app or the website contacts our servers (to download card sets, check a purchase or a gift, or read the required app version), the servers process your IP address and the technical details of the request, as any internet service does. We use them to deliver the response and to limit abuse. We do not build profiles from them.
The app asks for camera access only to scan the QR code of a game you want to join. Images are processed on your device and are neither stored nor sent anywhere.
The free version of the game shows ads through the Appodeal mediation platform. To choose, deliver and measure ads, Appodeal and the advertising networks connected through it receive data directly from your device:
Advertising partners act as independent controllers of this data and process it under their own privacy policies:
Players with premium access (an active subscription or an active gift) are not shown ads, and the advertising software is not started for them.
The web version at shelter.sh has no ads and no purchases. It sends our server the same usage events without the installation identifier, and does not use Google Analytics.
Our servers are operated by our hosting provider Railway (Railway Corp., USA). Google and the advertising partners process data in the countries where they or their service providers operate, including the United States and other countries outside your own. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on the safeguards these companies provide, such as standard contractual clauses.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: your consent for personalised advertising and for analytics that use identifiers; our legitimate interest in understanding how the game is used, keeping it working and protecting it from abuse; and the performance of a contract with you when we confirm a purchase or a gift.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Write to shelterthegame@gmail.com.
Please note a limitation. We do not know who you are: the identifiers described above are random and are not shown in the app, so we usually cannot find the records that belong to you. They are deleted automatically within the periods stated above. For data held by advertising partners, use the tools in their privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal data for money. Advertising partners may use the advertising identifier for personalised advertising; you can limit this with the choices described above.
Several US states, including California, give their residents additional rights. This section applies to you if you live in one of them.
We do not sell your personal data for money. To show ads, the app lets the advertising partners listed above receive the advertising identifier, the IP address and approximate location derived from it, device information and data about the ads you see. Some state laws treat this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal data, or as processing for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time as described in "Your choices". We do not knowingly sell or share the personal data of children under 16.
You may also ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Write to shelterthegame@gmail.com. The limitation described in "Your rights" applies: we usually cannot tell which records are yours. We will not treat you differently for using these rights, and the game works the same way whichever choice you make.
The game is not directed to children under 13, and in countries where a higher age applies to consent to data processing, under that age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from such children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take the steps available to us.
We may update this policy when the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If the changes are significant, we will say so in the app or in the release notes.
